PANI is proposed in Washington, D.C., in response to a shift in Congress and a recognized need for a permanent, independent institution to represent Pakistani American interests — modeled in part on groups like the Arab American Institute.
PANI establishes its first two departments — Congressional Affairs and Communications — under a modular strategy, adding capacity as resources allow.
PANI continues to support the Congressional Pakistan Caucus, publish FocusPakistan, and organize Pakistani Americans around voter participation, civil rights, and public policy. update with current milestones
